After learning about Radial Symmetry, 5th grade made a line design that was symmetrical diagonally and carved it onto a square piece of styrofoam. Then they got to try their hand at printmaking with different colors of ink, and different papers. Here they are at work! The final prints are hanging in the hall outside of the art room.
5th grade learned how to make a pinch pot and then turn it into an animal, either real or imaginary. We also learned how to roll coils and slabs, and how to add texture and details to our creations! When finished, they were painted with acrylics.
