We are learning to draw what we SEE, not what we THINK we see. After some practice drawing, students chose objects to arrange in a still life. After drawing, we will shade and color with colored pencils. Drawing from observation requires a lot of concentration. These kids did a great job!

6th grade learned clay vocab and practiced the 3 main hand building methods before choosing which one they wanted to use to create their clay container,
After reviewing the 7 principles of desn (pattern, balance, emphasis, movement, rhythm, unity, and contrast) students worked to design 3D cubes with their names hidden in them. After designing with sharpies, they may choose to color them before cutting and gluing them to form their Design Cube.
