Our containers are fired and ready to glaze. Once glazed the pots are re-fired so the ceramic glaze becomes glossy and is food safe!

6th grade art students are learning that glaze doesn't work quite like paint! Their containers will look completely different when they come out of the kiln.
Remember the still lifes that 6th grade worked on last week? well this week students enlarged a portion of their picture onto another paoer using a grid (and their math skills!) Now they are using Analogous colors to mix and paint with.
Students are drawing from observation this week. We talked about drawing what we SEE vs. what we THINK we see. We also discussed how to know where to begin drawing a still life, and about positive and negative space.
